I walk because I can

I'm officially signed up to participate in the BOLDEST breast cancer walk ever. The Susan G. Komen 3-day. I went to a "getting started meeting" last week and totally got the bug. I realized that I can make a difference. Little ol me can make a statement, raise awareness and gosh darn it help contribute funds to find a cure. It's going to be a fun and memorable journey. My husband is already tired of hearing me talk about it, but I can't help it. I've found hope and inspiration and I'm not letting go.

A trip to Walmart for odds and ends, but all I could do was buy pink!

Last night, I got a nice hat to use on my training walks and during the event, and a journal to record my mileage and help keep organized when it comes to fundraising.

I haven't joined a team yet. I haven't been able to convince my mom or any girlfriends to join me on this adventure, but I'm determined to be a pink warrior... My dreams are too strong to back down... even if I walk alone and just meet new friends along the way.
